A Makers Approach to Race Day Fashions

Continuing on from my Race Day Fashions blog post I've decided to share my very own approach to Race Day Fashions. I've done the research and now know the season I'll be going to the races. The Wagga Gold Cup runs in early May so I'm lucky it'll be trans-seasonal. That means not too hot and not too cold but somewhere delightfully in the middle. So my outfit will definitely have a sleeve and maybe even a light jacket. When it comes to the design of my new outfit I've decided not to spend a lot money on this event. To do that I'll be basing my decisions on a favourite pair shoes that I already have in my wardrobe and a complimentary handbag that suits the event. I'll then be comparing these items to my extensive fabric stash to find the best fabric(s) for this project.
